Ka-hti-na robe offering ceremony 2019 -Updated

Once again, we are going to observe Ka-hti-na robe offering ceremony on Sunday, October 20, 2019. You and your loved ones are cordially invited to come and celebrate this auspicious robe offering ceremony.

As you know that our Lord Buddha allows members of Sangha who have stayed at a particular place during the whole three months of Buddhist lent to have many benefits. Among others, one benefit is to celebrate the event and receive and keep robes from donors and well-wishers for more than a week without requesting other monks. The event should be observed only one time at the particular place or monastery within one month from full-moon day of Tha-din-gyut (7th month of Myanmar Lunar calendar) to full-moon day of Da-zaung-mohn (8th month).

Not only the members of Sangha get donated robes and other benefits but also we, laymen get many opportunities for donation merit (Dana Kuso).

The event is open for everyone who would like to participate as a donor. The donor should contact U Thar Kyi (AKA Albert) or Daw San Thawda Kyaing if they wish to donate. Otherwise, you can email us at mtbscanada@gmail.com if you wish to pledge as a donor, too.
